12 killed in minibus-truck collision in Central France

PARIS — Twelve people were killed in a traffic accident on late Thursday in Allier, central France, local authorities said.

According to initial police findings published by local newspaper La Montagne, a minibus traveling from Switzerland to Portugal veered to the left and hit an oncoming heavy truck Thursday night.

The accident killed 12 people, and the drivers of both the minibus and truck were injured.
