12-hour brownout to hit Isabela, Ifugao, Quirino

CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela — The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) has announced a 12-hour power cut on Thursday as the transmission facility would be undergoing maintenance.

Lilibeth Gaydowen, North Luzon Corporate Communications and Public Affairs Officer, said the power interruption would start at 6 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Thursday.

Gaydowen said the whole franchise area of Isabela Electric Cooperative (ISELCO-I), except the Reina Mercedes substation service area, would experience the power outage.

She said the NGCP maintenance crew would conduct replacement of transformer oil, testing and commissioning of new substation equipment.

She said power interruption would likewise affect the Ifugao Electric Cooperative (IFELCO) Alfonso Lista substation service area and the entire franchise area of Quirino Electric Cooperative (QUIRELCO).
