DINALUNGAN, Aurora — The body of one of the five missing passengers of the motorized boat that capsized due to strong winds and big waves along Barangay Mapalad here last Thursday, was found Monday.
The group from the 56th Infantry “Tatag” Battalion of the Philippine Army, Dinalungan town police and the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), in an intensified search and retrieval operations, recovered the lifeless 10-year-old Jaja Bekyaden.
In an interview with Lt. Col. Louie DS. Villanueva, Tatag Battalion Commander, he said Bekyaden’s body was recovered within the municipal waters in Barangay Simbahan, this town.
The cadaver was beyond recognition and was only identified by her sister Mary Rose who survived the said incident.
MDRRMO chief Vivencio Crayo said that they will continue on Tuesday their search and retrieval operation for possible recovery of the four other missing victims.
Those still missing are Taruk Tikiman, Lody Tikiman, Sibo Tikiman and Raymond Gusilatar. Jason de Asis/PNA-northboundasia.com
