DINALUNGAN, Aurora — Town Mayor Manuel “Tamang” Torres confirmed that another body of a missing boat passenger was found floating by fishermen along the Pacific Ocean in Barangay Simbahan here around 4:48 p.m. Tuesday.
The body was identified as that of Taruk Tikiman, the boat captain who went missing after his motorized boat carrying nine passengers capsized here due to huge waves and strong winds last Thursday.
Tikiman was a former rebel who surrendered to Philippine Army’s 56th Infantry “Tatag” Battalion in 2015.
The mayor said that search and retrieval operations are still ongoing as of press time for the remaining three missing passengers by a team from the Philippine Army’s 56th Infantry Battalion, police and a group from the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office.
Those still missing are Lody Tikiman, 82; Sibo Tikiman, 2; and Raymond Gusilatar, 9.
