MANILA — A low pressure area estimated over East Northeast of Catanduanes has develop into a Tropical Depression and was named “Jolina” at 5 p.m. Thursday, Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.
It added that estimated rainfall amount is from moderate to heavy within the 300 km diameter of the Tropical Depression.
Possible raising of Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal (TCWS) No. 1 over Quirino, Ifugao, Mt. Province, Kalinga and Northern Cagayan tonight.
It is expected to further intensify before making landfall over Northern Luzon by Friday evening or Saturday early morning.
