La Union Tricycle Driver Arrested for Illegal Drugs

 

SAN FERNANDO CITY, La Union – A 47-years-old tricycle driver was in his home for possession of illegal drugs and paraphernalia in a police raid last Tuesday night here.

The police here identified the suspect  as Raymundo Morales, 47, a resident of Barangay Tanqui this city.

Seized from Morales were one heat- sealed sachet of the banned amphethamine hydrocloride or shabu and other drug paraphernalia.

The search warrant was issued by Executive Judge Imelda Cosalan of MTCC Branch 1 in San Fernando City.

Morales is now detained at the city police station here as he awaits for the filing of court charges against him for violation of R A 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, which imposes prison penalty and fine depending upon the quanity of the confiscated shabu.  Thomas Casuga/NPN–northboundasia.com
