Ex-village exec in Aurora nabbed in drug bust

MARIA AURORA, Aurora — A former barangay secretary in this town was arrested in a drug bust near his home Thursday.

Police Senior Inspector Bayani A. Balbuena, chief of police of Maria Aurora Police Station (MAPS), on Friday said the ex-village official identified as Alejandro San Juan, alias Bubbles/Andy, 54, is a notorious drug pusher who is in their top 10 list.

“He is also the oldest notorious drug pusher in the list,” Balbuena said, adding that San Juan is a drug surrenderer under Oplan Tokhang.

Balbuena also said that San Juan has been monitored for weeks and was proven selling shabu after surveillance and casing were made, including intelligence buildup.

“Our confidential agent successfully bought one heat sealed plastic sachet containing shabu and was proven in the laboratory test result from Aurora provincial crime laboratory,” Balbuena said.

The MAPS anti-illegal drug enforcement unit personnel is now preparing inquest proceedings against San Juan for violation of Section 5, Article 11 of Republic Act 9165. Jason de Asis/PNA-northboundasia.com
