TAYUG, Pangasinan — Two drug personalities were arrested late afternoon of Thursday in a buy-bust operation conducted by the Provincial Public Safety Company (PPSC) of the police and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Barangay A here.
Arrested were Danilo Fragata Jr., 36, a passenger van driver, of Barangay Dalumpines, San Nicolas, and a newly identified drug personality; and Adon Padilla Jr., 32, of Barangay A, Tayug; a former surrenderer who went back to drug peddling after his investigation.
Both suspects had long been under surveillance by the police for their drug-dealing activities.
It was Fragata who received the marked money of three P100 bills from a policeman disguised as buyer while one plastic sachet of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride or “shabu” was recovered from Padilla.
Both suspects were brought to Eastern Pangasinan District Hospital, i Tayug, for medical examination and subsequently taken to the police station for proper investigation.
A case for violation of Article II, Section 5 of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) is set to be filed against the arrested suspects pending the result of the laboratory examination on the seized items. Leonardo Micua/PNA-northboundasia.com
