QUEZON, Nueva Ecija — Two suspected drug pushers were killed Wednesday in an armed encounter with anti-narcotic operatives in Barangay San Alejandro here, police reported on Thursday.
Investigators said that combined forces from the Nueva Ecija Special Operations Group and Quezon Municipal Station conducted a buy bust operation against a certain alias “Boy Bulak,” who arrived in a single motorcycle with an unidentified other.
In the process, Boy Bulak apparently realized he was transacting with a policeman, prompting him to draw a caliber .38 revolver and fired against the operatives.
A brief exchange of fire saw the two suspects dead on the road.
Scene of the crime operatives recovered from the place of encounter Bulak’s motorcycle, revolver and seven sachets of “shabu” from each of the suspects’ pockets, police said. Marilyn Espiritu-Galang/PNA-northboundasia.com
