BAGUIO CITY –What is the motive of the gunman who shot a 21-year old lady employee of the posh Baguio Country Club last Wednesday morning?
The police said that they were still investigating the case of Jenalyn Libungan Rosimo who was walking towards a jeepney terminal for her ride to BBC when she was shot in the forehead at close range in a busy street.
The incident happened along Otek street while Rosimo was heading towards the jeepney terminal on Shanum street, when the gun-wielder approached her and fired at her with a handgun.
Rosimo’s colleague – Jessica Bayeng Canya-as — told police investigators that she and Rosimo had earlier agreed to meet at the jeepney terminal and while she was walking heard a gunshot coming from behind.
Canya-as reportedly looked around but noticed nothing unusual. She then crossed the street towards the right side and it was only then that she saw Rosimo lying on the sidewalk, blood oozing from her head.
Bystanders rushed the victim to the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center, where she would be undergoing a critical surgical operation.
Crime scene investigators headed by Supt. Jaime Leal found one deformed fired bullet of a still unknown caliber near the area where the victim was shot.
As this developed, Andrew Pinero, BCC communication officer, said that they are still collecting information on the incident and that the club will be giving financial assistance. “Employees are also pitching in and that club members and other people have signified their said..
