CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela — The Provincial Government of Isabela will be joining the Office of the Civil Defense (OCD)–led nationwide earthquake drill to be held Thursday.
The Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC) met Tuesday and discussed the earthquake drill activities to be held on Thursday to ensure the readiness of all Isabelinos in times of earthquake.
PDRRMC officer Edmond Guzman said the earthquake drill participation was in support to the national government’s readiness in times of calamities and it was important that all Isabelinos should be prepared on the effect of earthquake in particular.
Guzman said PDRRM office employees would lead Thursday earthquake drill at Casa Del Nino Montessori School in the City of Ilagan while the Public Safety office (PSO) would lead the earthquake drill at the capitol where all employees would be joining the activity.
Meanwhile, DepEd–Isabela Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Jessie L. Amin has assured the participation of all public schools in the province on the set earthquake drill.
Amin said school administrators including the pupils and students should have the basic knowledge on safety when earthquake strikes in their respective schools. MGEdale/PNA-northboundasia.com
