BACOLOD CITY — Anti-drug operatives of Bacolod City Police Office seized 200 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated market value of PHP2.1 million from three suspects Sunday afternoon, the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) reported.
The CDEU, headed by Inspector Adrian James Albaytar, arrested a 15-year-old boy from Barangay 2 and John Jeryl Gemora, 21, of Barangay Alijis, both subjects of the operation, along with their companion John Mark Malde, 20, of Barangay 2.
Albaytar said in a media interview the three were arrested following a buy-bust around 3:00 p.m. when Gemora and his minor companion sold PHP1,000 worth of shabu to a poseur-buyer at Yakal corner Lopez Jaena Streets in Barangay Villamonte here.
Aside from the 200 grams, operatives also confiscated two big heat-sealed sachets of shabu from Malde.
The CDEU is preparing charges against Gemora and Malde, detained at Police Station 4.
Police endorsed the minor to the custody of the Social Development Center. Nanette Guadalquiver/PNA-northboundasia.com
