Illegal drug trader yields P600-T shabu in Naga City

LEGAZPI CITY —- An illegal drug trader from Cavite yielded 100 grams of methamphetamine hydrochloride (shabu) valued at PHP0.6 million in a buy bust operation at the Bicol Central Terminal Station in Naga City, Camarines Sur on Wednesday, said reports that reached the Police Regional Office in Bicol (PRO5) on Thursday.

Sr. Supt. Ma. Luisa Calubaquib, spokesperson of PRO5 based in Camp Simeon Ola in this city, said the suspect, identified as Jalil Guro Macabando, 23, was arrested at the terminal station in Barangay Triangulo, Naga City around 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

She said the team of police operatives pounced on Macabando, a resident of Barangay H2 in Dasmariñas, Cavite, immediately after his arrival at the terminal station.

“The shabu was wrapped with a masking tape,” said Calubaquib.

She said the lawmen handed PHP1,000 marked money to Macabando before announcing his arrest.

The arresting team was composed of operatives from the Regional Police Enforcement Drug Unit at Camp Gen. Simeon Ola and Stations 2 and 4 of the Naga City Police Office.
