CAMP GEN. ALEJO SANTOS, Bulacan — Two armed drug dealers were killed while 14 other suspects were arrested during operations conducted by Bulacan police over the weekend.
Bulacan acting police director Senior Supt. Romeo Caramat Jr., on Monday said those killed were Benjie Pacomo, a resident of Block 10 Lot 37 Ph 1, Barangay FVR, Norzagaray town and a certain Roman or Bebe, of Barangay Malhacan, Meycauayan City. Both were included in the Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Council (BADAC) watch list.
Investigation showed that during the operations, when the suspects noticed that they were transacting with police operatives, they drew guns and fired at the law enforcers who retaliated, resulting in their killings.
Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) recovered from the crime scene seven heat sealed transparent plastic sachets of suspected “shabu”; one cut opened transparent plastic sachet containing shabu residue; two caliber .38 Smith and Wesson revolvers; one hand grenade; several fired cartridges and ammunition; one cellphone; buy-bust money and assorted drug paraphernalia.
Caramat also said that at least 14 other drug suspects were arrested in different police operations conducted in San Jose del Monte (SJDM); San Rafael, Paombong, Bustos, Norzagaray, Bulakan, Baliwag and Balagtas wherein 27 small sizes and one medium size heat sealed transparent plastic sachets of suspected shabu; buy-bust money; and assorted drug paraphernalia were recovered.
The arrested suspects were identified as Mark Bryan Reyes; Joel Baltazar; Jonathan Ramos; Joel Cruz ; Joey Diwa; John Patrick Rayo; Jojo Iliw-Iliw; Manolito Villanueva; Arnold Sulit; Paul Jhon Angeles; Marilou Bigornia; Mark Bryan Reyes; Enmark Mirano and Manolito Villanueva.
Appropriate criminal complaints against the arrested suspects are now being filed before the City/Provincial Prosecutors Office of Bulacan. Emil Gamos/PNA-northboundasia.com
