TUGUEGARAO CITY- Police arrested a traffic enforcer in a drug buy-bust operation on Thursday in Aparri, Cagayan.
Cagayan Provincial Police Office (CPPO) provincial director PSSupt. Warren Tolito identified the arrested suspect as Mario Cruz Lirio, 50 years old, married and a resident of Brgy Navagan, Aparri, Cagayan.
Lirio was arrested during a buy-bust operation conducted by the elements of Sta. Teresita police Station in Barangay Buyun.
The suspect is considered as High Value Target (HVT) Level 1 drug personality in the said municipality.
Confiscated from the suspect were two heat sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance suspected to be methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu, a PHP500 marked money and a cellphone.
“Although we consider the arrests of High Value Targets as major operational accomplishments, our war on drugs does not choose who should be arrested, whoever they are, big-time or smal-time, they are all held responsible for their actions according to the rule of law,” Said PRO2 regional director PCSupt.
