CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela — The Land Transportation Office (LTO)– 2 oib Friday warned that all unregistered electronic bikes (e-bikes) plying the national highway in the region would be arrested.
LTO-2 Assistant Regional Director Manuel Baricaua said all vehicles plying to the national roads and highways were required to be registered as stipulated in the Land Transportation and Traffic Code of the Philippines.
Baricaua said a vehicle must be registered in the LTO when using the national highway on regular basis even the e-bikes which already popular in the region.
“We have an Administrative Order even in 2006 for e-bikes to be registered,” Baricaua said.
Meanwhile, e–bike dealers said they would comply with the LTO’s order in registering their vehicles after selling them. MGEdale/PNA-northboundasia.com
