BFP inspects readiness of schools, dormitories in Tuguegarao for June class opening

TUGUEGARAO CITY — The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) here has started the strict inspection of dormitories and public school buildings to ensure the safety of all students and teachers with the opening of classes on June 5.

City fire marshall inspector Basilio Agulayan Jr. said they are inspecting all dormitories and public school buildings in the city to ensure compliance with fire safety standards.

“We have already started to conduct inspection in dormitories and public school buildings in the city to ensure the safety of incoming pupils and students,” Pagulayan said in an interview Thursday.

Aside from the dormitories and school buildings, BFP personnel are also continuously conducting inspection of business establishments to deter fire incidents.

Pagulayan said they expect to finish the ongoing inspections before the school opening.

Aside from inspections, BFP personnel also participated in the conduct of Brigada Eskuwela in cooperation with the city government and Department of Education (DepEd).
