2 suspects slain, 2 nabbed on 1st day of “Double Barrel Alpha, Reloaded”

MANILA — Two suspects were killed, two others were arrested and illegal drugs and firearms were seized during the first day of the implementation of the so-called “Double Barrel Alpha, Reloaded”.

The neutralization, arrest and seizure were accomplished during the anti-illegal drugs operations of the Philippine National Police (PNP) and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) agents in Bulacan, Pampanga and Tarlac provinces.

Joint operatives of Malolos city police and PDEA Region 3 (Central Luzon) conducted buy-bust operation along Sto. Cristo-to-Mabolo diversion road, Barangay Mabolo, Malolos City, Bulacan midnight Monday.

The operation resulted in a shootout and neutralization of two suspects identified as Elmer Pagsanjan alias “Whitey”, 41, single, tricycle driver, resident of Barangay San Juan, Malolos City and Francis Bondoc alias “Pantot”, of legal age, single, resident of Barangay Caingin, Malolos City, Bulacan.

Both suspects were included in the Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Council (BADAC) watch list as “pusher/user”.

During the transaction, the suspects sensed that the buyer was a police officer which prompted the former to fire their guns.

A shootout ensued between the suspects and the police which resulted in the instantaneous death of the suspects.

Recovered from the possession of the suspects were eight heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, one black Haojue tricycle, without plate number, seven 9mm spent shells, two Smith & Wesson caliber .38 revolvers loaded with ammunitions, six aluminum foil strips, lighter and the marked money.

Likewise, joint operatives of Sta. Rita town police and PDEA3 conducted buy-bust operation in Barangay San Jose, Sta. Rita, Pampanga Monday afternoon which led to the arrest of couples Renato Reforma alias “Natoy” and Lourdes Reforma alias “Nene”.

Confiscated from the possession of the suspects were six heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu and the marked money.

PRO3 Regional Director Chief Supt. Aaron Aquino commended the operating troops.
