CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela — Some 324 unwed Ilagueno couples will exchange marriage vows Tuesday in a ceremony sponsored by the city government of Ilagan.
Paul Bacungan, information officer of the City of Ilagan, said the 324 couples come from different barangays in the city and will exchange ‘I Do’s” at the Ilagan City Community Center.
Bacungan said the free mass wedding is in support to the Civil Registration Month celebration this February.
He said the couples have complied with the requirements like pre-marriage counselling, application for marriage license and other necessary documents for marriage certificate application.
He said the city government will provide the venue, wedding rings, cakes, decorations, food, among others, while the couples will just attend with their respective wedding gowns.
“All the Sangguniang Panlungsod (SP) members including the Vice Mayor and the local chief executive will serve as principal sponsors of the couples,” Bacungan said.
Bacungan added the ceremony will be solemnized by Mayor Evelyn Diaz, to be witnessed by the couples’ parents and relatives. PNA-northboundasia.com
