Santiago City gov’t forms task force to implement laws, ordinances

SANTIAGO CITY, Isabela — The city government here has formed a task force composed of five teams that would strictly implement the city laws and ordinances.

Edwin Roxas, Department of Public and Order Safety (DPOS) head, said Mayor Joseph Tan has formed the task force aimed to focus and impose discipline to violators of ordinances in relation to traffic, anti-smoking, waste management/littering , stray animals and many other ordinances passed by the Sangguniang Panlungsod (SP).

Aside from implementing city ordinances, the task force will also help in the manning of traffic especially during rush or peak hours of the day.

Roxas said the task force is composed of five teams with four members each and will be deployed in the urban barangays or poblacion area in the city.

He said the city government of Santiago has already on the process of giving motorcycle as service vehicle to every task force members to ensure their mobility in roaming around the city business district.

The DPOS chief is confident that with the deployment of the task force in the city, all ordinances and laws formulated and passed by the city council will now be properly implemented. PNA-northboundasia.com
