MANILA — The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) on Sunday suspended bus trips to various ports in Visayas and Mindanao as the region braces for the impact of tropical depression “Auring”.
The LTFRB suspended the RORO bus trips in Liloan (Santander), Toledo, Tabuelan and Hagnaya (Bogo) due to the declaration of Signal No. 1 in Cebu province.
It advised buses that are traversing these routes to stay at their respective terminals and to provide food and other personal amenities to passengers.
Bus operators are also urged to attend to the needs of passengers.
Meanwhile, the Philippine Ports Authority suspended operations in the ports of Lipata, Surigao, San Ricardo, Dumaguete, Larena, Tagbilaran, Nasipit, Dumanga, Liloan in Southern Leyte, Cagayan de Oro, Benomi, and Balingoan.
Bus operators are advised to suspend their trips to the above-mentioned routes until further guidance. PNA-northboundasia.com
