Police nab suspect who put IED near US Embassy

MANILA — The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Wednesday arrested the prime suspect who allegedly put the improvised explosive device (IED) near the United States Embassy in Roxas Blvd., Manila last Monday.

Joint elements of the Manila Police District (MPD) and the Bulacan provincial police conducted a follow-up operation in Bulacan, Bulacan.

The operation resulted in the arrest of Rayson Kilala y Sacdal (Christian name) or Rashid Kilala (Muslim name), 34, with address at No. 092 Bagumbayan, Bulacan, Bulacan.

The suspect was brought to the MPD headquarters along UN Ave., Manila for further investigation. Perfecto Raymundo Jr./PNA-northboundasia.com
