2 dead, DOT official, house helper injured in Davao house fire

DAVAO CITY — Tourism Assistant Secretary Eden Josephine David and her house helper were injured while her son and another house helper died when their house was gutted down fire at around 12:30 am Saturday.

Initial police report said that David and her male house helper sustained third degree burns while the bodies of her nine-year-old son John Brent and female house helper Kimberly Luayon were found dead inside the house of David located in Purok 4, Artiaga St., Barangay 33-D, this city.

David is now confined at Davao Doctor’s Hospital while her male house helper is in critical condition at the Southern Philippines Medical Center.
