3 dead, 1 hurt in Pangasinan road mishap

SUAL, Pangasinan — A man and his two young sons were killed while his wife was hurt when the tricycle they were riding collided head-on with a speeding armored car along the national highway in Barangay Seselangen, Sual at 11:20 a.m. Monday.

The fatalities were identified as Joel Ruiz, 31, driver of the tricycle, and his sons Dhaisy Rain, 4; and Emgin, 3, who were all declared dead on arrival at the Western Pangasinan District Hospital in Alaminos City.

All the victims were from Barangay Pocal-Pocal, Sual.

The armored car, was driven by one Aljourney Fernandez, 28, was heading eastward when it collided head-on with the Skygo motorized tricycle without plate number coming from the opposite direction.

Initial investigation showed that while the tricycle was travelling westward, it encroached the opposite lane in a bid to overtake a vehicle ahead but unfortunately, it collided with the speeding armored car from the opposite direction. PNA-northboundasia.com
