Oplan Kaluluwa 2016 launched in Baguio City

BAGUIO CITY -– Action Officer designate, Lawyer Carlos Canilao, the City Administrator on Monday, October 10 said OPLAN “Kaluluwa” 2016 was launched early to solve issues encountered in OPLAN Kaluluwa 2015.

Canilao said Baguio City Mayor Mauricio Domogan will head OPLAN “Kaluluwa” 2016 to oversee all activities during the observation of All Souls’ Day and All Saints’ Day in November.

Canilao added that OPLAN “Kaluluwa” 2016 will be implemented with the Baguio City Police Office (BCPO), City Environment and Parks Management Office (CEPMO), the Baguio City hall executives and Punong Barangays (village chiefs).

OPLAN “Kaluluwa” is an annual activity to put into order and regulate all activities, for a peaceful and orderly conduct of All Souls (November 1) and All Saints Day (November 2), in all city public and private cemeteries.

Other implementers of OPLAN ‘Kaluluwa” include the BCPO – Traffic Management Board (TMB); City Treasure’s Office (CTO); City Engineer Office (CEO); City Building and Architecture Office (CBAO) and Health Service Office (HSO).

Annual volunteers Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP) and the Girl Scouts of the Philippines (GSP); Philippine Red Cross Baguio City Chapter (PRC-Bgo); Baguio, Benguet Public Information and Civic Action Group (BB-PICAG); Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and the reservists of the Philippine Army (PA) and the Philippine Air Force (PAF), pledged participation.

Meetings are continuously conducted at the Baguio City multi-purpose hall and BCPO hall to discuss traffic staging, parking and re-routing; barangay officials tapped to assist in traffic assured the installation of signages. Jojo Lamaria/PNA-northboundasia.com
