Father, son drown in Pangasinan

STO. TOMAS, Pangasinan — A father and son who went missing after they left their homes on September 12 to go fishing along the Agno river were found dead one after the other on September 12 and 13, according to the police.

First to be recovered at 3:25 p.m. of Sept. 12 in Barangay Pindangan, Alcala was Jerome Garcia, 10, a Grade 5 pupil.

The next day, the body of Jeffrey Garcia, 39, was recovered by members of the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) of Sto. Tomas along the Agno River in Barangay San Antonio, Sto. Tomas.

The father and son left their home at 1:30 pm of September 12 to catch fish using electric gadgets but failed to return home.
