SISON, Pangasinan — A woman in the drug watchlist here as well as a newly identified drug personality in Tayug were among six persons arrested by the police in separate anti-illegal drugs operations in five towns of Pangasinan on September 12, according to the Pangasinan Police Provincial Office (PPPO).
Arrested at around 8:00 p.m of Sept. 12 in Barangay Paldit, Sison was one Elizabeth Haboc, 25, when she was caught in the act of selling one heat-sealed sachet of suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) to a Municipal Anti-Illegal Drugs Operations Task Group (MAIDSOTG) operative who acted as poseur buyer.
Two other heat-sealed sachets of suspected shabu were seized from the possession, control and custody of her companion Romel Samidan, 37, of La Trinidad, Benguet.
Confiscated from their possession was the buy-bust money of P500 bill, a cellphone and an Isuzu dump truck which they were allegedly using in transporting illegal drugs.
The newly identified drug personality is Crisanto Andrada, 29, who fell in a drug-buy bust operation conducted by elements of the Provincial Public Safety Company and Provincial Investigation Branch, in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcemenf Agency Region 1, in Barangay C Tayug at 3:00 p.m. of September 12.
Meanwhile, one Jonathan Mendoza, 28, though not subject of buy-bust operation, was seen transacting business with another person who immediately ran away when he noticed the presence of policemen on Amado Tapuac road in Dagupan City at about 2:30 a.m. of Sept. 12.
Mendoza was left behind and when lawmen were about to accost him, he threw something to the ground, which turned out to be one sachet of shabu.
In Sual town, one Pepito Trisino Jr., 26, was nabbed when he created trouble in a videoke bar in Poblacion East, Sual. He was caught with one folding knife on one hand while his pocket yielded two sachets of suspected shabu.
In Bani town, one Alexander Daragay, 39, also tagged as a newly identified drug personality, was arrested by the police when he turned positive of illegal drugs after drug testing. He will be charged by the police for violation of Republic Act 9165. PNA/northboundasia.com
