2 men believed involved in drugs shot dead, woman wounded

LINGAYEN, Pangasinan — A man suspected to be involved in illegal drug was shot dead by unidentified gunmen in Pozorrubio while a woman in Rosales town is now fighting for her life after being shot by a motorcycle-riding men, both on Sept. 11, according to police authorities.

Gunned down at 3:25 p.m. Sunday in Barangay Inoman, Pozorrubio was one Glen Estayo, 34, who was in his house when shot from the outside by suspects allegedly on board a black Starex Van without plate number.

He sustained multiple gunshot wounds in different parts of his body and died while on the way to the Pozorrubio Community Hospital.

The suspects fled towards the west direction after the shooting.

Recovered from the crime scene were 12 fired cartridges cases of caliber.5.56 armalite rifle; five fired cartridge cases of caliber 45 pistol; two fired cartridge cases of caliber 9mm pistol; and two fired bullets of caliber 5.56 armalite.

The victim now lies at Pallada Funeral Homes, Brgy. Talogtog Pozorrubio, Pangasinan. Investigation is still on-going.

In Barangay Carmen West, Rosales, one Carmelita Tamayo, alias “Kulasing”, 47, was shot several times by still unidentified suspect/s riding on a motorcycle and is now fighting for her life at the Region 1 Medical Center where she was rushed.

Initial investigation disclosed that prior to the incident, Tamayo was doing household chores in front of their house near the highway when fired upon by the suspects.

Meanwhile, a male cadaver who is presumably also a drug pusher or a notorious theft, was found at the Lingayen Cemetery in Barangay Maniboc early Sunday morning.

Wrapped in brown packaging tape with both hands and feet also tied with a packaging tapes and nylon cord, the cadaver was found wearing red t-shirt with front marking of “Happy Every Thing”, black pants and black bonnet.He sustained gunshot wounds in his body.

The cadaver was described as 20 to 30 years old, 5’3” to 5’5” in height, light built, long blonde hair, with leaves tattoo in the left chest.

Two pieces of small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected ” shabu” and one aluminum foil strip were found by investigators from the cadaver’s right pant’s pocket, two spent shells and one live ammunition for caliber 45 pistol, one green bag pack with marking VANS containing two PRC I.D and School I.D in the name of Janet B. Sison, one RCBC Bank ATM card and Cebuana Lhuiller card in the name of Erlinda Navarrete, one BDO passbook in the name of Dickenson Navarrete of Artacho Street Poblacion, Lingayen, Pangasinan and assorted make-up, all believed stolen by him.

The cadaver was brought to Funeraria Escaño, Padilla Street East Poblacion, Lingayen, Pangasinan for autopsy examination. Investigation is still on- going. PNA/northboundasia.com
