Boy drowns in Pangasinan waterfall

BOLINAO, Pangasinan — A 15-year-old boy drowned while swimming in a waterfall in Barangay Tupa, Bolinao, Pangasinan at 2 p.m. on Saturday, according to the police.

The victim was identified as Paul Narvas, of Barangay Carot in Anda town, who drowned while swimming with friends at Bolinao Waterfall No. 2 in Barangay Tupa, Bolinao.

Narvas followed other swimmers who dived in the center of the waterfall but failed to emerge from the water, prompting his companions to panic and call for help.

When the boy was finally found, he was rushed to the Bolinao Community Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival by Dr. Genieve Rivera, attending physician. PNA/northboundasia.com
