2 carnappers arrested in Pangasinan

MANGALDAN, Pangasinan — Two carnappers were arrested by the Dagupan police in Barangay Nibaliw, Mangaldan on Tuesday, less than a week after they stole a motorcycle parked by its owner along M.H. del Pilar Street in Dagupan City.

The suspects were identified as Jayson Cabanlig, 31, and Ogie Sison, 27, both of Mangaldan town who were caught in the act of having in their possession, control, and custody the stolen motorcycle owned by Paul Ramos, 26, of Barrera Street in Dagupan City.

Both suspects were found later to be in the drug watchlist of the Mangaldan police.

Ramos parked his motorcycle along M.H. del Pilar Street in Dagupan at 1:00 a.m. of August 18 to buy medicine and when he returned, this was already gone.

He reported the matter to the Dagupan police and with the help of the lawmen in Mangaldan town, the stolen motorcycle was traced.
