SAN MATEO, Isabela — A police officer, who was tagged as one among those listed in the narco-politics list of President Duterte, was also accused of being a member of the organized robbery-holdup group, Paracale Gang.
Drug-linked suspect, Senior Police Officer 4 Ronald Galap, has also been linked to several robbery-holdup cases after some witnesses tagged him as Paracale Gang member, according to Chief Insp. Pilarito Mallillin, San Mateo town police chief.
Paracale Gang has been popular in looting pawnshops and other firms by having tunnel-dredging activities.
Galap, who has been under restricted status and has been facing administrative investigation, was transferred to MateoSan police station in July this year, just days prior to Duterte’s announcement on narco-list.
Mallillin said he had been wary on Galap’s ‘strange’ behavior and on intelligence reports he received from police and assets.
Galap, however, denied any links to drugs and robbery-holdup cases. He said he would be willing to face the accusers and answer the accusations against him. PNA/northboundasia.com
