LINGAYEN, Pangasinan — Two more suspected drug personalities were killed by unidentified assailants one after the other in Urdaneta City and Bolinao, Pangasinan on Friday, according to reports of the Pangasinan Police Provincial Office (PPPO).
Shot dead at Zone 1, Barangay Anonas, Urdaneta City, Pangasinan at 7 a.m. of Aug. 19 was Roger Molina, 44, who was in the Target List of Drug Personalities and Listed No. 1 Drug Personality of the same barangay.
Investigation disclosed that while Molina was drinking coffee in front of a sari-sari store, two unidentified persons wearing black bonnet and on board a black motorcycle approached him. One of them drew a handgun then shot him pointblank.
The victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was brought to Urdaneta District Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival by the attending physician.
Meanwhile, in another incident on the same day at about 7:30 a.m., Alberto Cofino, 52, a native of Dumaguete City, was shot dead in old slaughterhouse in Barangay Concordia, Bolinao.
Investigation showed that Cofino, who was tagged as Top 3 drug personality in the municipality, was about to board his motorcycle when two unidentified persons approached him and shot him pointblank several times. Thereafter, the suspects fled toward an unknown direction.
The victim sustained gunshot wounds in different parts of his body and was immediately brought by responding police personnel to Rillera Medical Hospital but was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician, Dra. Thelma Santos. PNA/northboundasia.com
