Ilocos Police Chief Replaced

CAMP DIEGO SILANG, La Union – Senior Superintendent Angelito Dumangeng was replaced yesterday as Provincial Police Director by Senior Superintendent Lao Francisco, a member of the Philippine Military Class 1992.

This came a few days after Chief Supt. Ericson Velasquez, Director of Police Regional Office 1 was also replaced by Chief Supt Gregorio Pimentel both members of PMA “Sandiwa” Class moved from his post.

Dumangeng was replaced by Sr. Supt. Leo Francisco, a member of the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) Class 1992, while Velasquez was replaced by Chief Supt. Gregorio Pimentel. Velasques, both members of both members of PMA “Sandiwa” Class of 1985.

Dumangeng and Velasques have been assigned to Camp Crame.

The relief of Dumangeng and Velasquez was in accordance to the massive revamp in the whole police organization being implemented by PNP Chief Director General Ronald Dela Rosa.

The PNP has intensified the campaign against illegal drugs and criminality in an attempt to solve the drug menace and restore peace and order in the country. JUN ELIAS/northboundasia.com
