DAGUPAN CITY -— A 57-year-old former policeman was killed in a shoot-out with arresting officers during a drug buy-bust operation by members of the Dagupan City police station (DCPS) on Monday, (July 25).
Supt. Christopher Abrahano, chief of The Dagupan police, identified the suspect as Vicente “Enting” Moulic, a former member of the Mangaldan police station.
Records showed Moulic was dismissed from service around 2003 to 2005.
Moulic, the No. 3 drug personality in Mangaldan town and under the watch list of the Dagupan City police, was subject for drug buy-bust operation conducted at his residence in Barangay Tambac Melag.
As the operation was ongoing, Moulic discovered the buyer as a police officer and went to draw his hand gun which resulted in the armed encounter and his death.
Abrahano said arresting officers recovered one sachet of suspected “shabu” from the suspect along with his 9mm pistol.
“We are still investigating whether there are other cases filed against him,” said Abrahano, referring to Moulic.
