Cagayanos draw inspiration from President Duterte’s SONA

TUGUEGARAO CITY — The first State of the Nation Address (SONA) delivered Monday by President Rodrigo Roa Duterte gave inspiration and instilled confidence among Cagayanos in the province.

The SONA of the president was a confidence build-up message on the ideals of good government. We hope to continue treading on the right path and we believe that we can reach that stage, according to Kapisanan ng mga Broadcasters ng Pilipinas (KBP) Cagayan chapter president and DZCV station manager Cadel Trilles.

“The SONA was generally understood, the delivery was good and accuracy was there. I do not have question as far as data concerned. I hope his administration will achieve it,” Trilles added.

The President’s SONA was understandable even to ordinary citizens, said Paul Seaman Ferianiza, 25, a tricycle driver and construction worker.

He said he is hoping President Duterte would resolve the controversy hounding the West Philippine Sea and that this government will be a clean government.

He expressed hope that the government would exert more effort in alleviating the plight of the poor, like the reforms on income tax. PNA/northboundasia.com
