LINGAYEN, Pangasinan — A suspected drug pusher was shot dead by policemen when he resisted arrest during a buy-bust operation along the road in Malasiqui town at about 3:45 p.m. Wednesday while unidentified gunmen shot dead another drug personality on the same day in San Fabian town.
Shot dead by intelligence operatives of the Malasiqui Police was Domingo Calinaoan, alias “Inggo”, a resident of Brgy Pantal, Dagupan City, who pulled out his hand gun and opened fire several times on the operatives after sensing that the poseur-buyer he and companion sold one sachet of shabu was a police agent. None of the policemen was hit.
This prompted the operatives to retaliate, hitting Calinaoan–who was then on board a Honda motorcycle with his unidentified companions–in different parts of his body.
He was rushed by policemen to the Malasiqui Community Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival by an attending physician.
Seeing Calinaoan fell from the motorcycle after being shot, his unidentified companion sped on board the motorcycle heading to the north direction.
In another development, shot dead by unidentified persons in San Fabian town was Joselito Najera, alias “PJ” and “Pagong”, who was also in Barangay Drug Abuse Council (BADAC) watchlist and Number 4 in the priority watchlist of the San Fabian police.
Najera, a pedicab driver, was waiting for passengers along the national highway at the corner of Braganza Street in the Poblacion, when shot by unidentified suspects riding on a Mio motorycle that sped towards the south direction. PNA/northboundasia.com
