Fourth drug pusher shot dead in Pangasinan

BINALONAN, Pangasinan — Another drug pusher was shot dead by the police in Pangasinan during a drug buy-bust operation at about 10:20 p.m. on Thursday in Sitio Borobor, Barangay Bugayong, Binalonan.

The fatality was identified as Michael Estonillo, alias “Kael,” 35, a resident of the place and listed as a drug personality in Binalonan town.

He was shot by lawmen when he threatened one of their companions by pointing a hand gun at him after he discovered that the poseur-buyer he was dealing with was a policeman.

During the transaction with the police poseur-buyer, Estonillo became unruly when he sensed that the man who was buying one sachet of shabu from him was a police officer, which prompted him to draw his pistol.

Realizing imminent danger, operatives of the Binalonan police fired at the suspect, causing his instantaneous death.

Estonillo became the fourth drug personality shot dead by policemen in Pangasinan in the intensified war against illegal drugs. The three others were killed in Dagupan City.

Recovered from him was one .38 caliber Armscor revolver with five pieces of ammunition, one test tube, four aluminum strips, six small heat-sealed transparent sachets containing white crystalline substance suspected to be “shabu,” one piece of inside holster colored black, one PHP500 bill used as marked money, and three pieces of 9mm. fired cartridges.

The recovered drug-related pieces of evidence, including the firearm and ammunition, were turned over to the Urdaneta City Police Crime Laboratory Office for laboratory examination. PNA/northboundasia.com
