LINGAYEN, Pangasinan — Thirty-nine persons in the drug watchlist simultaneously surrendered in seven towns of Pangasinan, while 32 others were arrested by the police in 28 towns all on July 4, according to a police report.
Those who surrendered were 17 drug personalities in San Fabian, six in Tayug, five in Manaoag, four in Binmaley, three each in San Manuel and Sta. Barbara and one in Bugallon.
The drug personalities said they surrendered to the police for fear of their lives and went on to sign an undertaking promising to completely leave their illegal activities
Those arrested were two each from Mangaldan. Burgos, Mapandan and Binalonan, and one each from Pozorrubio, Sta. Barbara, Mabini, Mangaldan, Tayug, Umingan, Bugallon, Mapandan, Agno, San Quintin, Sison, Sta. Mawria, San Fabian, Agno, San Quintin, Sison, Sta. Maria, San Fabian, Maopandan, San Nicolas, Manaoag, Bayambang, Villasis. Dasol, Anda, San Carlos City, Infanta and Malasiqui.
The arrests were made by the police through drug buy-bust operation and implementation of search warrants. PNA/northboundasia.com
