LAOAG CITY — Governor Ma. Imelda Josefa “Imee” Marcos has lauded police personnel of the Ilocos Norte Police Provincial Office for helping out in the confiscation of around 180 kilograms of shabu in a beach resort in neighboring Claveria, Cagayan on Sunday.
Link to the June 29 killing of Rolando Garvida, a suspected notorious drug pusher in Lanao village, Bangui, Ilocos Norte, the INPPO went to Claveria on Sunday as they assisted the Philippine National Police (PNP) Anti-Illegal Drugs Group in the confiscation of PHP900-million worth of illegal drugs from the North Shore Island Resort in Barangay Cullao at past 2 p.m. Sunday.
Police report said the seized items were placed in black plastic bags stuffed in big ice chests.
Police theorized the illegal drugs came from either China or Taiwan and was shipped to Cagayan.
Investigators, however, have yet to identify the owner of the recovered drugs. PNA / northboundasia.com
