Hybrid Electric Train

The Department of Science and Technology in cooperation with the Metal Industry Research and Development Center and the Philippine National Railways launch the Hybrid Electric Train on Saturday at Tutuban PNR Station. Running at a speed of 60 kph, the hybrid train with capacity of 220 person per coach, is powered by diesel-electric power system(generator set and battery).
