P6-Million dried marijuana leaves seized in La Union

SAN GABRIEL, La Union – Illegal marijuana leaves worth more than P6-million and weighing more than 25 kilos were seized by the authorities at Sitio Pising, Barangay Polipol, this town, during the weekend.

Senior Superintendent Angelito Dumangeng, La Union police director, said they arrested suspects BJ Y. Acuin, 22, single and resident of Villa de Oro Village, Brgy. Tagapo Sta Rosa City , Laguna and Paciano James M. Evangelista, 22, single and residents of Brgy. Baybayen, Los Baños, Laguna.

Dumangeng said that suspects were monitored while fetching and transporting the goods from said village Confiscated from them were 26 tube-rolls of first-class and high-valued dried marijuana leaves.
