Over 7,000 jobs up for grabs in Independence Day Jobs Fair

DAGUPAN CITY — More than 7,000 job opportunities will be available during the Independence Day jobs fair to be held at Nepo Mall here on June 12.
Department of Labor and Employment-Regional Office I Director Grace Ursua said some 30 employers have initially confirmed to make available at least 7,610 vacancies this jobs fair.
The jobs fair will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. It is as one of three job fairs being organized to mark the 118th celebration of the Philippine Independence.
Ursua disclosed that the local employers to join the fair include Northcare Contact Center, Inc.; Champion Employment Agency; Kenwood Hauler and Construction; San Vicente Dressing Plant; DRB Sales, Inc.; Magic Group of Companies; RPR Promotions; S & F Finance Corp.; Option Plus, Inc.; S-P Madrid; Pandayan Bookshop, Inc.; E-Performax Contact Center; Qualicare Expert Outsourcing Company; Service Resources, Inc.; One Source General Solutions, Inc.; Kabraso Multi-purpose; LDP Farms Food Corporation; Acabar Marketing; Watsons; JolliMagic; Northpoint and Grolier International, Incorporated.
Meanwhile, the licensed recruitment agencies that will participate include Eyequest International Manpower Services, Inc.; SMC Manpower Agency Philippines Company; God’s Will International Placement, Inc.; LBS Recruitment Solutions Corp.; Al Jazira Manpower Services; 1st Northern International Placement, Inc.; B.M.C.A.R.T and Starborne International Promotion and Manpower Corporation.
“Jobseekers are advised to be ready with their multiple sets of application documents, as jobs are aplenty. Our participating companies have numerous vacancies for professionals, skilled and non-skilled workers,” Ursua noted.
Local employment opportunities are for teachers, call center representatives, production operators, accountants and accounting staff, cashiers, office personnel, engineers, technicians, among others.
Overseas job orders are topped by nurses and allied professions, professionals and skilled workers for the construction, service and agriculture industries.
One-stop-shop services from PhilHealth, SSS, BIR, POEA, TESDA and OWWA will also be provided to cater to employment concerns of both jobseekers and workers.
Anchored on the theme, “Kalayaan 2016: Pagkakaisa, Pag-aambagan, Pagsulong,” the DOLE said the event gears at shortening the jobseekers’ search for employment by bringing job facilitation services nearer to them. Johanne Margarette Macob/PNA/northboundasia.com
