MANILA, Philippines — Two new smoke eaters will soon be installed in the smoking lounge of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 to remove the smell of tobacco smoke in nearby areas.
The NAIA Customer Relations Center assured that it has coordinated with the smoking lounge concessionaire Stop and Fly Café after an airport passenger earlier complained of tobacco smoke odor coming from outside the lounge.
“We are in the process of acquiring additional two units of top of the line models of smoke munchers that remove smoke odors with HEPA and Tar Barrier filter particles,” Stop and Fly Café Chief Operating Officer Aurora Cruz said.
Even before the complaint, the concessionaire has instituted various measures to minimize if not totally eliminate leakage of tobacco smoke from its store including the immediate installation of two additional smoke eaters aside from the smoke eaters by the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA).
The concessionaire has also installed a secondary door with the air curtain to separate the smoking area and the selling area so as not to inconvenience our non-smoking patrons as recommended by the MIAA engineering team. PNA/northboundasia.com
